Devin Reilly is a composer, orchestrator, and music educator based in Los Angeles, CA. His background in jazz and contemporary music has yielded original work in a wide range of styles and genres. With a compositional style drawing from acoustic and electronic media, Reilly’s pieces are characterized by their intricate structures, and rich, vivid orchestration.
In April 2019, Reilly won the New York Youth Symphony First Music Commission. The commissioned work, In the Shadow of Tall Giants, was premiered by NYYS Jazz in March of 2020 at Jazz at Lincoln Center.
Reilly has also composed extensively for film and television projects including Shaq (HBO), Vampire Academy (Peacock), We Are Guardians and CIVIL (Netflix).
Also active in musical theatre, Reilly music directed and orchestrated the debut production of The Brass Teapot, a new musical from Chaz Cardigan, Tim Macy, and Ramaa Mosley at the Chicago Music Theatre Festival in 2024.
His debut EP, Talking in Circles, was released July 19, 2019.
